Make it Colourful - Black and Orange

Wow, has it been forever since my last post or what?  Sorry, all I can say is Life Happens.  This is a card I did for the challenge on the Make it Colourful blog.  I've been working on this Zoe Celebrates image and thought she looked like she was happy it's going to be Halloween next month.

I hope you like her.  After coloring her up with my copics, I matched her up with some of my old papers from my stash.  Distressed everything and added a few flat pearls to her bow and center of the flowers on her jeans.

Have a great day,
Julie

Happy Fourth of July

Just wanted to wish everybody a very Happy Fourth of July.  Hope everybody has a great holiday planned, with lots of yummie food to indulge in.

Sorry I haven't posted in quite a while.  I have a lot of cards ready for you but I'm having camera problems.  I will be back as soon as I get my camera fixed or give up and buy another.  I hope you have some patience with me and give me time to return.

Sincerely,
Julie

LMM's "Iris May Hatter" Easter Card

Happy Thursday friends.  Today I have something special to share.  I recently won the Forgotten Scraps blog candy.  You can link to them by clicking the image on the right side of my blog.  The rubber stamps I won are "Iris May Hatter" and "Angel Wings", both by Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  Again there is a link on my side bar.  I also won a guest spot on their design team.  I chose the Easter posting because "Iris May Hatter" is perfect dressed up for Easter.

I was inspired by a CAS card layout I saw, but I couldn't help but add a little bling.  Hence the five crystals and the butterfly.  I also added wire on the little chick instead of cutting out the curls in the stamped image.  By the way, the egg w/chick is an InkaDinkaDo stamp I've had for a long time.

I actually used 24 Copic Markers for these two little images.  I had a lot of fun using "Iris May Hatter".  I'm sure I will get many uses out of her and the "Angel Wings" which I did not use on this card.

Thank you to Barbara and Faye for setting this GDT spot up for me.  Hope everyone has a Happy Easter.

MIA

Hello friends.  I know, I've been mia for almost two months now.  As you know from a previous post, my parents are 82 years old.  My father was in the hospital the whole week before Christmas, which threw a monkey wrench into my crafting and blog posts.  He is home, but he is now hooked up to oxygen 24/7.  He s doing much better now, and has a new ICD with pacemaker.

Now this month I had to have my ICD w/pacemaker changed because the battery life was up after six years in my chest.  It was supposed to be an out-patient procedure, but my white cell count was elevated.  So, they admitted me to the hospital for three days to give me mega doses of antibiotics.  They did the surgery last thursday.  They gave me an upgrade, so this one will last 12 years, yahoo.  Now tomorrow I go back to Phoenix to get the stitches out.  Thank goodness.

I'm not able to get back to my crafts just yet, but soon.  I also want to do an over- haul on my studio.  I'm slowly getting back to leaving comments on everybodys blogs.  Been missing you guys.  Don't give up on me, please, I'll be back to blogging regularly very soon.
