Tiddly Inks Holly Jolly Christmas

Hello Friends,

Today I colored a clear Tiddly Inks stamp called Holly Jolly Christmas, which is now only available in digital form.  She's super sweet and I had a fun time making her into a card.  I used Copic Markers to color her, and some 6x6 Christmas paper I had in my stash.

I would like to enter it in the current Tiddly Inks Christmas challenge.

Hope you like it.

Sincerely,
Julie D. Richards

MFT Witch Way Is The Candy

Good afternoon friends.  Just want to share a project I did this weekend for a very dear friend.  I used My Favorite Things newest release of Witch Way Is The Candy stamps and dies.  I absolutely love this set and was gifted the stamps from my friend and the dies from my hubby.  I used too many Copic markers to have kept a list, sorry.

I'm so excited for her to get this in the mail.  I know it's way early for Halloween but I just can't wait to send it to her.

Well, thank you for stopping by.  Comments would be greatly appreciated.

Hugs,
Julie

MFT Adorable Elephants

Hello Friends,

Today I bring you a project near and dear to my heart.  My Uncle Joe has dementia. My mom suffered from dementia before we lost her.  They were the best brother and sister team.  My mom could tell some very funny stories sitting around the kitchen table with my Uncle Joe chiming in with his version of the story.

At any rate I wanted to make him a card just for him from just me.  I remember the time he took me and his daughter Yolanda to the movie "JAWS".  It was one of my fondest memories and I wanted to send him something special from my heart.  It's a shaker card hoping he'll get a kick out of the sound it makes.

I used MFT Adorable Elephants.  I must say it was difficult picking which adorable elephant to use.  I hope he gets as much joy out of it as I got making it for him.

I just received the best phone call.  My Uncle Joe called to say he got the card in the mail today.  It was the best gift to hear his voice say my name.

The Copics used were, C1, C3, C5, C7, R20 for the elephant, R27, B28, Y04, G17 for the kite.

As always thank you for stopping by my blog.  Another post coming soon.

Hugs,
Julie

MFT Mermazing

Hello again friends, I'm back with another post.  This was made with MFT Mermazing Stamps and the MFT Mermazing Dies.  I made this for a very good friend who loves and collects anything mermaid.  Her name is Heidi Brawley.

I started by doing my background with distress inks, salty ocean and peacock feathers, then sprinkled with water and dabbed off after a few seconds to give a watery background.  I then stamped and colored the images and cut out with the corresponding dies.

I really hope she likes it as a lot of love went into this card.

Copics used - Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, R20

                        Hair - E31, E33, E35 sitting mermaid

                         Hair - E31, E33, E08 swimming mermaid

Thank you again for stopping by.  This was a very fun card to make.

Hugs,
Julie

So this post was very short but hopefully sweet.  As always Thank You for stopping by.

Lawn Fawn Elephants

Good afternoon friends.  Today I have for you a card I made for my nephew.  I used Lawn Fawn Elphie Selfie Stamps and Dies, and Lawn Fawn Wild For You Stamps and Dies.  The link will just take you to Lawn Fawn on-line store as they are sold out right now everywhere I look.  But if you go out to Lawn Fawn you can request notification when they are back in stock.

With Elphie Selfie I colored the profile elephants and mouse with Copic Markers. W1, W3, W5 for the mama elephant, W0, W1, W3 for the baby elephant, E31, E35 for the mouse.  R20 for everyones cheeks and ears.  For the camera I just used R24.

In the picture they took, straight on, I used all the same colors.  The inside sentiment is, You take the best selfies.  Cheeese on the front is done with clear embossing powder for a tone on tone look.

Thank you for stopping by.

Hugs,
Julie

Missed My Hubby

Hello Friends,

A few weeks ago one of my best friends, Pamela, and her mom, Pixie, drove almost three hours to come and pick me up and take me to their house for the week.  Pamela and I became very close as soon as we met two years ago at Jennifer Dove's Copic Boot Camp 2015, and kept in contact, then met up again in 2016.  This year we decided to have a little mini Boot Camp of our own in her house.  Her sons William and Nathan, and her mom joined us for some of it.  Pamela is so sweet she even had gifts to pass out like Jennifer does in Boot Camp.

Here is one of the cards I made while there, I decided to make it an I missed you card for my hubby who stayed home to take care of our three cats.  This is called a shaker card and it is the first time I made one.  We cut out 9 layers of the square frame, glued them together with acetate between the top two layers.  Used Momento inks to sponge the background, and sprinkled on the sequin mix I chose to match the background.

I then stamped and cut out a Wplus9 elephant from the stamp set called "Unforgettable".  I had such a fun time with Pamela and her family.  They spoiled me rotten.  Then they drove me all the way home.  Thank you to my adopted family, the Goodrich's, Pixie, Bob, and Pamela.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Julie

Julie Nutting Doll Canvas

Back after being MIA for a few years.  This is my first post in a very long time, so please bare with me as it will take me a while to get back into the hang of things.

I fell in love at first sight with these Julie Nutting Prima Paper Dolls Stamps.  This one is called "Peasant Dress" as this was one of the first dolls to come out and they weren't given names at that time.

Her skin and hair are colored with Copic Markers, and her dress and hair band are paper pieced.  I used a 9" x 12" canvas that I painted with Dyan Reaveleys Dylusions paints in the colors Squeezed Orange and Fresh Lime.  Lace, flowers, and buttons were all in my stash.

I'll be back soon with another project.  Thank you for stopping by.

Sincerely,
Julie
