Hello friends. I know, I've been mia for almost two months now. As you know from a previous post, my parents are 82 years old. My father was in the hospital the whole week before Christmas, which threw a monkey wrench into my crafting and blog posts. He is home, but he is now hooked up to oxygen 24/7. He s doing much better now, and has a new ICD with pacemaker.
Now this month I had to have my ICD w/pacemaker changed because the battery life was up after six years in my chest. It was supposed to be an out-patient procedure, but my white cell count was elevated. So, they admitted me to the hospital for three days to give me mega doses of antibiotics. They did the surgery last thursday. They gave me an upgrade, so this one will last 12 years, yahoo. Now tomorrow I go back to Phoenix to get the stitches out. Thank goodness.
I'm not able to get back to my crafts just yet, but soon. I also want to do an over- haul on my studio. I'm slowly getting back to leaving comments on everybodys blogs. Been missing you guys. Don't give up on me, please, I'll be back to blogging regularly very soon.

Glad your dad is doing better now, but so sorry you had to have a hospital stay, those places are not much fun, but at least this pacemaker is good for a longer time! Take care, hope you get to enjoy some crafty time soon!
ReplyDeleteHi Julie, I am glad to read that your Dad and you are both doing better. Sounds like you need to have a little stress free relaxation time. Glad to read that you shouldn't have to be back in for a new pacemaker for a long while to come. It truly is amazing what they can do these days. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. I am betting your are getting some sunshine today. My Husband was born in Eloy, Az. and his only surviving sister still lives in Casca Grande so he is always telling my about dust devils and things like that. I am hoping to one day get the chance to go and visit where he is from. Hugs, Lisa G
